beatrix potter classics re:designed by fashion icons

‘When designing the cover for Peter Rabbit, we started by imagining Peter today – what would he be like?
“Well, he’d be naughty, streetwise and incredibly cool, of course” – Cats Brothers

On 7th July 2016 Penguin Random House Children’s is releasing a collection of five of Beatrix Potter’s best-loved books with covers designed by iconic fashion designers from Britain and Ireland. These include Henry Holland, Orla Kiely, Preen, Rodnik Band and SR:D’s Womenswear Designer of The Year Award Winner, Cats Brothers.

This is part of a year-long celebration of Beatrix Potter on the 150th anniversary of her birth. Other activity throughout the anniversary year includes a collaboration with model and actress, Lily Cole to celebrate Beatrix Potter on International Women’s Day.

The pinnacle of this special anniversary year is the publication of The Tale of Kitty in Boots, the rediscovered manuscript which is being illustrated by Quentin Blake, publishing on 1st September.

Congrats to all collaborators and especially to our SR:D Hong Kong exhibitor Lindsay McKean from Cats Brothers for Peter Rabbit’s super-cool transformation.
