Kestin Hare opens third store in princes square, glasgow

K E S T I N H A R E opened up his new store in Princes Square, Glasgow last Thursday. With Menabrea beers, Kiehls goodie-bags and an exclusive acoustic performance from Ross Leighton of Fatherson, the shop was filled to the brim with consumers, bloggers and media. Previous Head of Design at Nigel Cabourn, Kestin is now onto his third store, including the flagship store in Shoreditch, London and the original in Stockbridge, Edinburgh.

The store is minimalist in its display, with shoes and accessories carefully placed on chipboard benches with shirts, jackets and trousers hung on copper hangers. The window display oozes British summertime with the Spring Summer 2016 collection entitled “A Bigger Splash”, drawing inspiration from British outdoor swimming culture. The shoot location was Gourock outdoor swimming pool and stills from the shoot are projected on the wall inside the store.

Hare commented: “We have had a lot of west coast customers coming through to Edinburgh to shop with us, so we knew there was an appetite for our brand. Glasgow is also design-led and fashion conscious, and it’s been high up on our expansion wish list from the beginning. Princes Square is THE shopping destination for the city and we are delighted to be apart of it.”

The focus of the store is the eponymous collection, but also houses some select bought-in brands that compliment the Kestin Hare lifestyle, such as British-made Hancock from Cumbernauld, and Freddie Grub bikes designed and made in London.

Indulge in a clean, contemporary aesthetic and visit the new store on the first floor, Princes Square, Glasgow.
