Scottish Anti Illicit Trade Summit
6 March, 2014
About the event
The international trade in counterfeit goods is estimated to cost the UK economy around £1.3 billion a year – while also seriously harming local businesses.
This event, which took place at Murrayfield Stadium was the first event of its kind to bring together law enforcement, trading standards, government and industry to highlight the dangers to personal safety and the threat to Scotland’s fashion business from the spread of illicit trade.
Scotland Re:Designed brought both Scottish designers as well as diffusion designers from Debenhams to the catwalk during the conference as well as speaking about the dangers of counterfeit fashion in a workshop with industry experts.
